For this project, students create a social media page for a character (or a group page for a set of characters) and explore the world and works we read during the semester through the perspective of their chosen subject(s). In doing so, they come to understand the broader literary traditions that the character is a part of and see the world as a fluid multiplicity that cannot be contained by any one narrative. The project itself demonstrates literature's ability to reveal previously hidden worldviews and makes students more aware of their own lives. Students also write a process essay that explains the content on their social media profile/group.
